Camera Not Showing Up in CMP

If your PTZOptics camera is not appearing in the Camera Management Platform (CMP), follow these troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Check Network Connection: Ensure that both your camera and the computer running CMP are connected to the same network. Verify that the network cables are securely plugged in and that there are no connectivity issues.
  2. Turn off HTTP Authentication: Log in to your camera's web interface and navigate to the settings. Disable HTTP authentication to see if the camera appears in CMP.
  3. Verify Camera IP Address: Access your camera's web interface to confirm its IP address. Make sure that the IP address is within the same subnet as your CMP server.
  4. Firewall Settings: Check your computer's firewall settings to ensure that CMP is allowed to communicate over the network. You may need to add exceptions for CMP in your firewall rules.
