PTZOptics Password Rules: How to Set a Secure Login

The PTZoptics products now all require a password to be made when the product is set up; please find the rules for these passwords. Please contact support If you have a set password you do not know or need to reset a password.

PTZoptics Move, Link, studio pro cameras:
The current password rules have two restrictions:

  • The admin password cannot be set to "admin", and the guest password cannot be set to “guest”.
  • All letters, numbers, and specifically "@$!?#" can be used up to 15 characters.

Simpltrack 3:
The current password rules have two restrictions:

  • The password cannot be set to "hchd".
  • All letters and numbers can be used up to 16 characters.

PT-JOY-G4 and PT-Superjoy-G1
The current password rules are as follows:

  • The password minimum length is 6 characters.
  • All letters, numbers, and specifically "@$!?#" can be used up to 16 characters.
